William Perry waves to fans during the
opening ceremony | The 20th anniversary celebration of the '85 World Champs kicked off March 18-20 when 30 members of the team attended the 8th annual Bears Fan Convention. The '85 World Champs received special recognition during the opening ceremonies as each player present was introduced to the crowd of cheering fans. Team members signed autographs for Bears fans and made special appearances at the '85 Bears booth to sign official 20th Anniversary shirts and hats. Behind the scenes team members had the chance to catch up when they gathered to sign exclusive team footballs, which will be available later this year online.
Among the '85 Bears on hand were seven starters from the storied defense that is regarded by many as the best in NFL history: Richard Dent, Dave Duerson, Gary Fencik, Les Frazier, Steve McMichael, William "Refrigerator" Perry and Otis Wilson. In addition, six starters from the offense attend: Jim Covert, Jay Hilgenberg, Dennis McKinnon, Emery Moorehead, Tom Thayer and Keith Van Horne.
